| Charlotte, NC. Comet East will meet for two days, Saturday and Sunday during the show. Club Headquarters will be Spring Hill Suites, 7811 Gateway Ln. NW, Concord, NC, located 2 miles from the Speedway. Call 1-704-979-2500 for reservations. Rates for a King no smoking is $139 plus tax. Club members and non- members are welcome to show with Comet East. Cars will be judged on Sunday. There is no entry fee for your Comet, the driver and one passenger. Please contact club president Bill Adams at this email address billadams100@hotmail.com if you are coming so we can get a head count. We will have room for about 20 Comets so let us know right away. You’ll find hundreds of vendors with a variety of parts and accessories for sale, Ford & Lincoln-Mercury vehicles for sale in the corral, special events like beauty & burnout contests, rock crawling and much more. The best description of this show Fun for the Blue Ovals! Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the HiPo 289 Engine. From 1963- 1967 these engines were produced. If you have a high performance 289 powered vehicle and have an interest in display it as part of the reunion display, Contact Bob Mannel bobmannel@charter.net and register for this event. | HAGERSTOWN, MD. AUG. 25 The Mid Maryland All Ford Show at the Mason Dixon Raceway. This has always been a well attended show for Comet East and a proper place to celebrate the club’s 10th Anniversary . Although it is a one day show, most of us come for the weekend. On Saturday this year we have planned for a special driving tour to some of the area attractions. Ever wonder what your Comet would do on a drag strip? You can find out at the show on Sunday. The club will be set up next to the Mason-Dixon Dragway. This is a perfect opportunity to test your car. Comet East is offering $100 to any club member who puts their Comet on the track that day. |
